During the two days of the conference, approx. 200 participants and 40 speakers exchanged ideas and brought together expertise and experience from diverse backgrounds to discuss the interconnection as well as challenges and promising approaches of digitalization and ecological sustainability in an international context, possible next steps and long-term perspectives.
You want to recall the inspiring talks, approaches and ideas that came up during the green.net.working conference? You were not able to attend the green.net.working conference but would like to find out more?
Take a look at the Key Take Aways and Recommendations of the first green.net.working. conference on May 19-20 2021.
The presentations of the inaugural keynote addresses of both conference days can be downloaded here:
// Prof. Dr. Dirk Messner > Digitalization and Sustainable Development – Interconnections of Two Megatrends and Political Priorities for Shaping our Common Digital Future (link following soon)
// Luis Neves > Digital Solutions for Climate Action - Using ICT to raise ambitions on climate action in low- and middle-income countries
We are planning to continue working with you to connect digitalization and ecological sustainability on an international level, to exchange perspectives, experiences, and best practices and to work together on solutions on how both trends can be mutually beneficial.
To this end, we are currently setting up several deep dives to take place in the second half 2021 on individual topics of the conference in which there were a lot of energy, relevant open questions still not sufficiently addressed in different existing dialogue forums and hence potential for fruitful further exchange. We already have many ideas, are concretizing the top ones and will get back to you shortly with more details.
If you would like to contribute your own ideas and work on the continuation of the important event topics, please feel free to reach out to greennetworking@giz.de!
